1st Taxi provide a taxi service to the Hyndland area 24 hours a day.
When you say to some people, why not consider a taxi rather than the bus the first thing they say is that it costs more. Sure, on a straight price comparison, a taxi will cost more than a single bus journey (although not as much as it used to be as bus fares sure have increased!) but there are also other benefits to think about.
Ever gone for a bus and it didn’t turn up? Or it was twenty minutes late and you missed a connection, were late for work or for an appointment? Bus drivers do a great job but their route-based nature means that they can hit traffic, accidents or other delays and there isn’t a thing they can do about it.
But the taxi driver has options that a bus doesn’t. Say you get taxis from Hyndland and want to go into the main train station in Glasgow to catch a train to London. But there is an accident on the A814, the quickest route to get there. If you are on a bus, well that’s a shame because you’ll have to sit through it. But a taxi? The driver can simply re-route and use the back streets to get to an alternative road where there is no hold up.
When you are travelling, luggage is an essential and the more luggage you have, the harder it is to transport it. But by using a taxi and telling the booking office that you have this luggage, you can have a car sent that has the capacity for it and ensure you don’t have to stress to get it all with you on a bus or train.
